Myths for a Wetlands Imaginary
Myths for a Wetlands Imaginary: commissioned by Arts Catalyst. With thousands around the world, wetlands are one of the planet's most important places and ecosystems, but also one of the most endangered. In the struggle to find ways to understand and to respond to the climate crisis, we led a series of events (including a site-specific performance at Walthamstow wetlands, myth-making workshop to which we invited Season Butler to co-facilitate, and mapping workshops) for the Art Assembly to suggest that wetlands around the world offer a new imaginary for these times - a new way to think and to imagine other ways to live, and to relate to the earth. For the assembly we made a film, and devised a multi-media installation. Supported by Art Fund and Waltham Forest London Borough of Culture 2019.
